Responsibilities

  • Design and management of treatment, wastewater collection and water system conveyance facilities
  • Prepare grant applications, facility plans and coordinate with private and public stakeholders to secure project funding specifically for small and medium sized systems
  • Ability to assist on water resources and resiliency aspects of multi-disciplinary projects for integrated water resources planning and watershed master planning
  • Design improvements to wastewater treatment facilities to meet environmental regulations.  These include wastewater lagoons, package plants, biological and mechanical treatment processes.
  • Mentor and develop engineering team members, specifically in environmental and wastewater engineering.
  • Managing water, wastewater and reclaimed water supply through planning, modeling and permitting
  • Be a key point of contact with clients, contractors and local government officials
  • Work collaboratively with CDI managers and other Project Engineers to develop effective solutions.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from a four-year college or university; PE required
  • 7+ years Experience
  • Professional Engineer, licensed in Missouri with design experience with a focus on water resources
  • Knowledge with preparation and review of Engineering Plans and Specifications to ensure that all aspects of project implementation are clearly conveyed
  • Experience with hydrologic, hydraulic and groundwater software
  • Experienced in working with both governmental and private clients in Missouri, Kentucky and Illinois.

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in XPSWMM, WaterGEMS,  SewerGEMS and WaterCAD

Job Duties: 

  • In this role, the Structural Engineer will be an integral part of our Structures/Bridge Group designing various bridge types, as well as support our transportation and site development Groups with their design needs.

This Division is responsible for planning MSD’s stormwater and wastewater sewer system Capitol Improvement & Replacement Program (CIRP).  This Program Manager position is responsible for the long-and-short-range planning for sanitary, storm and combined sewer projects for the District.  This planning requires compliance with regulatory requirements, project prioritization, scheduling and funding, conceptual and preliminary designs, sub/district  planning, system investigation, and hydraulic modeling of the sewer systems.  The position also supports the District’s asset management program through capitol improvement planning and prioritization, efforts to optimize the operation of the system, and through management of various vendor services.

The City of Town & Country, MO, is seeking an experienced individual with proven leadership and management skills to serve as Director of Public Works. The Director reports to the City Administrator and oversees the professionals managing our building, code enforcement, and public works team.

Town & Country is a premier community of approximately 11,000 residents, covering approximately 12 square miles in the heart of St. Louis County.

The dynamic Public Works Department is an integral part of the community. The Director should have experience with residential and commercial building regulations and enforcement, street maintenance and construction, right-of-way maintenance, snow and ice control, code enforcement and facility management.

The Director of Public Works also works closely with the City Planner in reviewing plans for new developments. Broad experience in capital projects management and short and long-term planning for public operations and infrastructure is essential.
