The President's Message
Fellow Engineers’ Club of St. Louis Members,
It is a privilege to address you tonight as outgoing President of the Engineers Club of St. Louis. As we celebrate the 157th year of this incredible organization, I am proud to reflect

on the progress we’ve made together.
This year, membership has grown almost 20%, reinforcing the value of our Club. Engagement across activities has been strong—from Bowling and Golf Leagues to Fellowship Night meetings, which continue to build connections beyond the workplace. The Young Engineers Committee happy hour events provide networking and leadership opportunities for the next generation.
Our signature events remain a testament to our Club’s enduring spirit. The Engineering Center’s Jake Jare Tournament continues to bring members and community together, while our Scholarship Awards—totaling $17,500— help shape the future of engineering.
We’ve introduced new activities this year, expanding opportunities for members. Our monthly pickleball events have been a fun addition, fostering camaraderie and connection. Meanwhile, our bi-monthly speaker series, providing PDH benefits, ensures members continue growing professionally. Our Engineers Week Luncheon was yet another success, drawing over 200 attendees in celebration of engineering excellence. We also rolled out our new website and membership database, which is proving to be a positive tool for communications and member events.
Tonight, we also take time to celebrate our scholarship recipients, whose dedication and potential inspire us all. Their achievements remind us why it’s so important to invest in the future of engineering. Likewise, we honor our award recipients, whose commitment to excellence has strengthened both our Club and the broader community. Congratulations to each of you.
I also want to take a moment to express deep appreciation to our committee chairs, directors, executive committee, and past presidents. Their unwavering commitment, leadership, and service have been instrumental in guiding the Engineers’ Club of St. Louis forward. Their efforts—often behind the scenes—keep our organization thriving, and we owe them a sincere thank you. A sincere thank you is also due to Jim Andrews and the Q&A Business Solutions team as our Club management partner.
As I look back on my tenure, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve, not just as president but the entire journey through the board and executive committee. Leading this Club has been an honor, and the friendships, collaboration, and shared passion I’ve witnessed have made this experience unforgettable.
With that, I encourage each of you to get involved—whether by joining a committee, mentoring, seeking mentorship, or stepping up for a Board position. Your engagement ensures that the Club continues to grow and evolve. The Engineers Club of St. Louis is more than an organization—it is a community built on excellence and shared purpose.
Finally, a special congratulations to incoming President Rebecca Losli. She brings strong leadership and vision, and I know she will guide the Club forward with purpose and passion. Best wishes to Rebecca—I am confident she will lead with excellence.
Thank you all for allowing me to serve, and for making the Club a place of growth, friendship, and success.
Here’s to another outstanding year!
Sincerely,
Tony Roth, P.E.
2024-2025 President
